We're getting reports from clients that trying to create PDFs using the "Adobe PDF" printer results in errors like this:

FileEdit View%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%% Aptos not found, using Courier.% Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: show j%Stack:-file-%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%% %%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. 1 %%

As the error indicates, Acrobat doesn't know what to do with the Aptos font.

Here, you have three options presented here in order of increasing complexity:

  1. Use Word's native "Save as / PDF" functionality
  2. Change the font in your Word document
  3. Instruct Acrobat to use system fonts instead by going to File > Print. Select Printer 'Adobe PDF', then click Print Options, click Properties, and untick 'Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts'.
